The name
Aya is the Adinkra symbol for the fern, a plant that endures in poor ground. It stands for endurance and resourcefulness, and the saying attached to it is I have survived what should have stopped me.
It is a working symbol rather than a decorative one, and we would like the bottles to be treated in the same spirit.
What we are trying to get right
- Fragrance that behaves consistently, and smells the same in the sixth hour as it did in the first.
- Bottles that survive delivery.
- Restocks that arrive when we said they would.
None of this is remarkable in itself. It is a matter of attending properly to the ordinary parts of the work.
